Baby Miles

Baby Miles was almost six weeks old when we did this shoot.  That is definitely not a newborn, when it comes to a photo session.  He was quite alert and awake for most of it, although Mom did manage to get him to sleep for a few shots. 

Thank you to Ashley and Eric for letting me be part of this.  Miles is absolutely adorable!

Baby Noah- six months

Baby Noah is Baby Lenix’s six month old cousin and he was just as cute and cooperative!  I just want to squish his little cheeks!

I had just returned from a trip to Boston and made this little monkey hat on the airplane on the way home.

The trusty Tonka truck works for babies of all sizes!

Daddy is a hunter so Mom wanted to humor him with this little outfit.  So cute!

Baby Lenix-six months

This little guy had just turned six months and shared a photo shoot with his also six month old cousin.  I LOVE his hair; it reminds me of a duckling.  He also has some of the greatest expressions!

This was my first time photography a baby this age and it was so much fun!  I was also trying out my new Canon Speedlight 580X.

For this next one, he thought the crunching leaves was the funniest thing ever!

Lenix’s family is very lucky to have such a cute, happy baby!

The Hoover Family

This shoot took place on two different days.  The first day was crazy windy and cold and it was hard for the kids to not look like they were freezing.  We ended up doing a few more inside a couple of weeks later, plus a couple more outside since it wasn’t as cold as the first day.  What a great family this is.

How do you get your brother to smile?

Ashley’s Maternity Shoot

Ashley is my friend, neighbor and a fellow yoga instructor.  We did these photos in her yard and it turned out to be the perfect setting.  

Ashley loves horses and is still riding.  This is totally her element.

This is my favorite.  It is so tender and sweet!

Aaaand, what would an evening session with me be without a silhouette shot?

Smith Sisters

This gorgeous bunch of girls was so much fun to be around!  (Their mom is just as cute, by the way.)  They were so cooperative and they loved climbing all over the train.

We did this shoot in Alamosa at the train yard and by the river.  We started at 9am, but in retrospect, it was already too late in the day.  The sun was pretty harsh.  7:30 would’ve been much better.  I think we got some keepers, though!

Baby Carly

Isn’t she gorgeous?

She was ten days old and two weeks over-due to begin with, so that made for one wide-awake baby.  All of the shots that look like she’s sleeping were just me getting lucky enough to catch her with her eyes shut!

I love that I was able to get an outside shot of a newborn.  It will probably be the one and only until next year since it is starting to get cold already,

The DeGolyers

This is the DeGolyer family.  The day of the shoot was rainy and windy, but we decided to go ahead with it anyway.  Luckily, we got a break in the clouds and the sun came out for a few minutes.  These were taken in their yard. 

I’ve become slightly addicted to silhouette shots.  I can’t help myself!
